Happy New Year 2008

Happy New Year 2008!!

My wish for 2008 is that we can Bring Joy to Jingmen: the joy of a family for each child living now in the Jingmen orphanage.Each child deserves to live in a loving family and especially these beautiful children.

WELCOME!

BringingJoyToJingmen is created to inform you about the Grace and Hope for Children Foster Care Program for the Jingmen orphanage in Jingmen, Hubei province in China.

For a little more than $ 1 a day you can sponsor a Jingmen orphan to live in a foster family.
Your money gives a child the gift of a foster family which means a chance to bond and grow up healthy.

The Jingmen orphanage has 21 childen, of whom 7 are older than 7 years. With the help of sponsors each one of them could live in a foster family. Some children do have special needs.
Grace and Hope is responsible for the selection and training of foster families. Besides they help with medical issues.
Daily foster care has a great beneficial impact on a child life's and enhances its chance to attend public school as they are likely to themselves like other children.

A Grace and Hope social worker visits the foster family every 3 months to monitor the child's progress.
The quarterly reports including photos are mailed to the child's sponsor. These reports give a glimpse into a child's daily life.
It is always a joy to read about the big benefits and amazing progress a child makes after coming into a loving foster family.
True miracles happen when they learn to call their new foster family their home.
